Deputy Defence Minister Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien led a Vietnamese delegation to attend the ASEAN Defence Senior Officials' Meeting (ADSOM) in Vientiane, Laos, on September 25.

Deputy Minister of National Defence Sen. Lieut. Gen. Hoang Xuan Chien had a bilateral meeting with Lieut. Gen. Donny Ermawan Taufanto, Secretary General of the Indonesian Ministry of Defence, in Jakarta on August 1.

Deputy Minister of National Defence Sen. Lt. Gen. Hoang Xuan Chien met with his Japanese counterpart Tsuchimichi Akihiro in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on May 17 on the sidelines of the ASEAN Defence Senior Officials’ Meeting (ADSOM).

Vietnam will host an annual meeting of the ASEAN Peacekeeping Centres Network (APCN) this September.

Deputy Defence Minister Sen. Lieut. Gen. Hoang Xuan Chien is leading a Vietnamese delegation to the ASEAN Defence Senior Officials’ Meeting (ADSOM) and the ASEAN Defence Senior Officials’ Meeting Plus (ADSOM+) which is taking place in Phnom Penh on May 17-18.

The two-day ASEAN Defence Senior Officials’ Meeting (ADSOM) opened virtually on March 24 under the chair of the Permanent Secretary of the Brunei Ministry of Defence, Brigadier General (retired) Dato Seri Pahlawan Shahril Anwar Bin Haji Ma’awiah.

The ASEAN Defence Senior Officials' Meeting was organised on November 17 via teleconference under the chair of Deputy Minister of Defence Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh.

An online ASEAN Defence Senior Officials’ Meeting (ADSOM) was held on May 15 under the chair of Vietnam’s Deputy Defence Minister, Sen. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Chi Vinh.

The 13th annual meeting and 5th retreat of Track II Network of ASEAN Defence and Security Institutions (NADI) opened in the central city of Da Nang on March 3.

The ASEAN Defence Senior Officials’ Meeting (ADSOM) and ASEAN Defence Senior Officials’ Meeting Plus (ADSOM+) took place in Singapore from July 11 to 13 to enhance defence cooperation in ASEAN as well as between the bloc and partner countries.

A Vietnamese delegation led by Head of the Institute for International Defence Relations, Major General Vu Tien Trong participated in the ASEAN Defence Senior Officials Meeting (ADSOM) in Laos.
