Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien chaired a working session with energy and mineral enterprises in Hanoi on August 27 to discuss the promotion of coal trading with Laos.

Vietnam will issue a price framework to purchase electricity from Laos for the period after 2025 in the second quarter of this year, said Minister of Trade and Industry Nguyen Hong Dien.

A trade forum has been held online for Vietnamese and South African coal businesses to seek stronger coal trading cooperation between the two sides to meet coal demand for production and electricity generation in Vietnam.
