Leaders of foreign countries have extended their condolences to leaders of the Party and State and people of Vietnam over the passing of former State President Tran Duc Luong.

Cuba’s official media all published news about the passing of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong, a great brother and friend of the Cuban people, on July 20, the first day the Latin American nation mourned the Vietnamese Party chief.

The Funeral Board and the family of President Tran Dai Quang expressed thanks following the burial service for the leader in his hometown in the northern province of Ninh Binh on September 27.
