Formula 1 CEO Chase Carey has announced that the 2020 season is targeted to start in Austria in July, meaning that the Hanoi stage may take place later this year.
The Vietnam Grand Prix Corporation (VGPC) has completed the Hanoi Formula 1 circuit, which will play host to the first-ever race in the country in April.
International media have published articles reporting that Formula 1 could have three new Grand Prix events next season, as Miami, Buenos Aires and Hanoi are close to confirming a deal.
