Vietnam’s fisheries export revenue in July grew 14% year-on-year to over 885 million USD, the highest recorded since the beginning of the year, according to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).
Export revenues in the southern province of Kien Giang hit 153 million USD in the first quarter of this year, a year-on-year surge of 32 percent despite the complexities created by the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the province’s Department of Industry and Trade.
Vietnam saw significant rise in exports of fruit and vegetable products in the first half of 2017 but local exporters still cannot find themselves at ease over unstable supply and food safety issues.
