The Investigation Police Agency under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) has officially launched a probe into six individuals at the Saigon Jewellery Company Limited (SJC) for the charges of embezzlement and abuse of positions and power while performing duties.

Members of the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee on May 15 discussed a report on results of supervision over the responses to voters’ opinions and requests sent to the sixth session of the 15h NA, a report on NA’s ombudsman affairs to April, and a draft report summarising voters’ ideas sent to the NA’s seventh session.

Gold prices slumped in the Vietnamese market on September 12 morning. On the Hanoi market, selling price of one tael, or 1.205 ounces, of State-owned SJC’s gold declined by 190,000 VND (8.3 USD) to 36.75 million USD.
