Based on the positive socioeconomic performance in the first quarter of this year, the Ministry of Planning and Investment has forecasted two growth scenarios for the second quarter and the full year.

Vietnam’s economic growth this year can reach up to 6.9% in the best-case scenario, the Central Institute for Economic Management (CIEM) announced during a Hanoi workshop organised on July 15 to launch a report on Vietnam’s economy in the first half of 2022.

The 2021 Vietnam Annual Economic Report entitled “Repositioning Vietnam in the Global Dynamics” was unveiled on July 29 by the Vietnam National University - University of Economics and Business.

The Ministry of Planning and Investment (MoPI) has devised two growth scenarios for the second half of 2021, said Deputy Minister Tran Quoc Phuong.

Minister and Chairman of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung mentioned two growth scenarios for the country amid the coronavirus outbreak, during a press conference in Hanoi on February 5 following the government’s monthly meeting.

The Ministry of Planning and Investment (MoPI) has asked other ministries, sectors and localities to soon complete outlines of growth scenarios for each quarter of 2018.
