The Vietnamese and Chinese leaders pledged to promote the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership their countries in line with the six major orientations, maintain regular high-level exchanges, and strongly boost economic, trade, and investment cooperation.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son had a meeting with Chinese Vice President Han Zheng in Beijing on December 10, as part of his visit to China to co-chair the 16th Vietnam - China Bilateral Cooperation Steering Committee Meeting.
