For 2025, Hanoi has set an ambitious target of welcoming 31 million tourist arrivals, including 7.5 million foreigners, with projected tourism revenue nearing 130 trillion VND. The sector is expected to contribute at least 8% to the city’s gross regional domestic product (GRDP).

Hanoi’s tourism sector is set to introduce distinctive travel experiences as part of its ambitious goal to welcome 31 million visitors, including approximately 7.5 million foreigners.

Under this initiative, Hanoi will introduce two cultural tourism routes connecting the southern and western areas of the city. A new community-based tourism destination will be established in My Duc district, alongside the development of agricultural and rural tourism models, as well as night tourism offerings.

Hanoi authorities convened on February 26 to assess the impact of the acute respiratory disease caused by the SARS-Cov-2 (COVID-19) outbreak and work on solutions to fuel local socio-economic development.
