The Vietnamese Embassy in Iran and Syria said on December 8 that it has requested Syrian authorities to provide detailed information about any Vietnamese nationals currently living, working and studying there amidst escalating tensions in the Middle East country.

The US Government extended its deepest condolences to the Vietnamese Government and people as they mourn those who perished due to significant flooding in the central region caused by recent Tropical Storm Linfa.

People in Bangkok communities, whose jobs and incomes have been affected by the COVID-19 situation, but have yet to register with the government, are advised to contact the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security for immediate assistance.
