Artisan Dinh Quang Thang is the fourth generation in his family to practice the silver engraving craft in Hong Thai commune. After serving in the military service, he returned to his homeland to passionately continue the family tradition, keeping the silver engraving craft alive with dedication and love.
The traditional craft of linen weaving in Nam Cao commune in Kien Xuong district, Thai Binh province, has a history stretching back over 400 years and has been recognised as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. Some 200 households in the village are still engaged in the traditional craft. Handwoven linen products from Nam Cao are mostly exported to countries such as Laos and Thailand.
A recent international workshop held in the northern province of Thai Binh once again confirmed the value of Lo Giang Palace built during the Tran Dynasty (1225-1400).
