British magazine Time Out has ranked Hoi An, an ancient city in the central province of Quang Nam, seventh in its list of the 13 best places to travel in July, reported the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT)’s Information Centre on May 20.
Vu Lan Festival is a major Buddhist holiday held annually on the 15th day of the 7th lunar month. In Vietnam, in addition to its religious meaning, the festival is a time for people show their respect and gratitude towards their parents.
A lantern festival, to take place in Hanoi from September 9-11, will start a series of cultural activities marking the 30th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK).
The 2022 Hoi An Lantern Festival, a special cultural and art event, will open on December 25 at the Hoi An Memories Island in the central province of Quang Nam, just in time to celebrate Christmas and welcome in the New Year.
