Up to 13 consecutive earthquakes with focal depths of about 8.1-10 kilometres were reported in Kon Plong district of the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum on July 28 with no damage recorded, according to the Earthquake Information and Tsunami Warning Centre under the Institute of Geophysics.

An earthquake, measuring 2.9 on the Richter scale, struck Bac Tra My district in the central province of Quang Nam on November 2, but no damage or casualties were reported.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 2.5 on the Richter scale was reported in the north-western provinces of Dien Bien and Son La on September 24.

Two earthquakes struck central Thua Thien-Hue province’s A Luoi district and Huong Tra town on December 6 and 7.
