On December 19, 1946, President Ho Chi Minh issued “The appeal for the National Resistance”, calling on the entire Party, people, and armed forces to unite and rise up against French colonial invaders to regain national independence and freedom.
In December 1972, the Air Defence-Air Force played a crucial role in defeating the strategic bombing raid by B-52 bombers of US imperialists.
