President To Lam hosted separate receptions for the new ambassadors of Nicaragua, Iceland, Turkmenistan and Cyprus who came to present their credentials in Hanoi on June 21.

The new ambassadors of Spain, Iran, and the Philippines to Vietnam presented their credentials to Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi on January 22.

Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh handed over the appointment decisions to 12 new ambassadors for the 2020-2023 tenure on June 9, and requested they be pioneers in boosting Vietnam’s relations with partners and carrying out economic diplomacy to support post-pandemic recovery.

President Tran Dai Quang presented appointment decisions to the new ambassadors to Cuba, Laos and Spain at a ceremony in Hanoi on December 21.
