Leaders of Indonesia, Canada, Kuwait and Sweden have sent their congratulations to To Lam on his election as the State President of Vietnam at the 15th legislature’s seventh sitting.

Newly-elected State President To Lam took oath of office on May 22, promising to be absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, the people and the Constitution and to do his best to well complete tasks assigned by the Party, State and people.

The 14th National Assembly will elect the State President in the morning of October 23, the second day of its ongoing sixth session.

President Tran Dai Quang pledges to make all-out efforts to fulfill the duties of State leader, who also chairs the Council for National Defence and Security and commands the people’s armed forces.
