Close to 22,800 enterprises returned to the market in January, surpassing the previous peak of about 19,100 businesses recorded in January 2022.

More than 218,500 enterprises were established and resumed operations in Vietnam in the past 11 months of 2024, a year-on-year increase of 7.4%, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).

As many as 202,300 enterprises were established and resumed operations in Vietnam in the first 10 months of 2024, a year-on-year increase of 9.1%, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).

More than 6,800 enterprises resumed operations in July, up 26.2% over the previous month but down 0.7% from the same period last year, according to the Agency for Business Registration (ABR) under the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

As many as 64,758 enterprises entered the market in the first five months of this year, marking the highest number ever recorded, and a 4.5% increase from the same time last year, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI)’s Business Registration Management Agency. ​

The capital city of Hanoi witnessed 9,400 enterprises enter the market with the total registered capital of 97.6 trillion VND (3.84 billion USD) during January-April, falling 6% in the number of firms and rising 9% in capital as compared to the same time last year, according to the municipal Statistics Office.

Vietnam saw over 15,400 newly-established enterprises in October, up roughly 22% over the previous month.

A total of 7,100 businesses resumed their operations in June, up 19.3% month-on-month, and a 3.2-fold increase compared to the same month last year, according to the General Statistics Office.

Vietnam saw over 13,000 new enterprises formed with a total registered capital of 106.9 trillion VND in October, up 13.6% in number of firms but down 21.4% in capital from the previous month.

So far this year, the southernmost province of Ca Mau has had 356 newly-established enterprises with a total registered capital of 7.2 trillion VND (307.68 million USD), up 50% in the number of firms, and fivefold in capital year-on-year.

There were 76,233 newly-registered enterprises in the first six months of this year, an increase of over 13% compared to the same period last year.

About 29,300 businesses have been set up so far this year with a combined registered capital of 447.8 trillion VND (19.61 billion USD), data from the Ministry of Planning and Investment showed.

In the first month of 2022, Vietnam saw a surge in both the number of newly-established enterprises and registered capital compared to the same period last year, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).

The number of newly-established firms in the last quarter of this year reached 31,400 with total registered capital amounting to 415.3 trillion VND (18.21 billion USD), the General Statistics Office (GSO) has said.

The Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) has coordinated with relevant ministries, sectors, agencies and localities to build a draft resolution on supporting and developing businesses in the 2021-2025 period, with a target of about 710,000 newly-established enterprises in the period.

Some 85,500 firms left the market in the first eight months of this year, while more than 81,000 enterprises registered for establishment with total registered capital of 1.13 quadrillion VND, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).

As many as 8,740 enterprises with total registered capital of 122.8 trillion VND (5.34 billion USD) were established in July, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).

Vietnam had 29,300 newly-established enterprises with total registered capital of 447.8 trillion VND (19.37 billion USD) in the first quarter of this year, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).

More than 18,000 new businesses were established in the first two months of 2021, a year-on-year decline of 4 percent, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
