Defendants from the investor, contractor, valuation unit, and project consulting unit colluded and engaged in bidding fraud, violating procurement regulations to secure Package No. 8 for AIC, causing a loss of over 17 billion VND (over 665,000 USD) for the state.
The Supreme People's Procuracy on September 13 issued an indictment against Nguyen Nhan Chien, former Secretary of the Bac Ninh provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Tu Quynh, former Chairman of the Bac Ninh People's Committee, and 11 other defendants, on the charges of bribery, acceptance of bribes, abuse of power while performing official duties, and violations in bidding procedures.
Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan, Chairwoman and General Director of the Advanced International Joint Stock Company (AIC), and 35 others will be brought to trial on December 21 for their accused involvement in wrongdoings at the Dong Nai General Hospital, the AIC, and some others.
