Prof. Wilhelm Bender, member of the Vietnamese-German University (VGU) Council and Chairman of the VGU’s Association of Friends and Sponsors, has been awarded the Order of Merit by Minister-President of the State of Hessen of Germany Boris Rhein for his significant contributions to society.

Phan Thanh Binh, head of the National Assembly’s Committee for Culture, Education, Youth and Adolescents and President of the Vietnam-Italy Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group, has been presented with Italy’s Order of Merit.

Italian Ambassador to Vietnam Antonio Alessandro on November 23 presented his country’s Order of Merit to Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung.
