The portraits of 10 heroic female martyrs of the Lam Ha Militia, based in Phu Ly city, Ha Nam province, have been restored into color from black and white photos. The introduction ceremony of the 10 restored photos was recently held in Hanoi by the organization “the Heart of Vietnamese Soldiers”, and the Club “20 Years Old Forever”.

About 40 km from the center of Phu Ly city, a famous old mansion lies, which is considered the original model of the Ba Kien Mansion in the famous work “Chi Pheo” by the late writer Nam Cao.

The World Bank has recently approved 53 million USD in funding for urban infrastructure development in two emerging middle cities in northern Vietnam.
