Petrovietnam Gas (PV Gas), Petrovietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP) and their Russian partner - the state-owned Zarubezhneft have agreed to continue their partnership to jointly exploit the Thien Nga-Hai Au gas field off Vietnam’s southeastern region.

Indonesia is striving to double gas production over the next 10 years to 12.3 billion cubic feet per day as it sets to become one of the world’s top exporters with major projects in the pipeline.

The Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral on February 6 started the construction of a 255-kilometre pipeline that will supply gas for industries between Cirebon in West Java and Semarang in Central Java.

Residents in several areas of the capital Hanoi, including Ba Dinh, Tay Ho, Hoan Kiem, and Dong Da districts, might face water shortages this summer, said the municipal Department of Construction.

Authorities in Hanoi have decided to exploit surface water from the Hong (Red) River to ease water shortages and ensure a long-term water source for the city.
