Up to 1,499 out of 1,678 medium-voltage power lines affected by Typhoon Yagi had been restored to operation as of September 13 morning, said state-run Vietnam Electricity (EVN).

The northern province of Hung Yen is making efforts to restore the electricity system to serve its local people as super typhoon Yagi, which hit the northern region on September 7, has caused widespread power outages across the locality.

The HCM City Electricity Company has promised to reduce scheduled brownouts by 20 percent in the last two month of this lunar year and fix power outages within 75 minutes.

Leaders of the southern province of Binh Duong have addressed concerns raised by representatives from more than 70 businesses from the Republic of Korea (RoK) operating in the locality.
