Indonesia has deployed rescuers to search for missing people after torrential rain caused a landslide in an illegal gold mine on July 7 morning in Sulawesi island, local authorities said on July 8.
Rescuers are racing against the clock to find people missing from flash floods and landslides that hit Nam Tra My district in central Quang Nam province on October 28.
Rescuers on July 10 headed back to flooded Tham Luang cave in northern Thailand’s Chieng Rai province to begin the third phase of the rescue of the trapped youth soccer team, aiming to bring out the last four boys and their coach, rescue mission chief Narongsak Osottanakorn said.
Rescuers have found the teenage football team who are alive after nine days trapped inside Tham Luang cave, and preparations are being made to take them out, authorities from Thailand’s Chiang Rai province said on July 2.
