Bamboo Airways will officially resume international flights on November 26, starting with one round-trip flight per day on the direct route between Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City and Don Mueang International Airport of Bangkok, Thailand.
The Muan International Airport in the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s South Jeolla province will allow the resumption of international flights, including those to Vietnam, this July.
Vietnamese expats living in Europe hope authorities from both sides to work together so as to soon resume international flights, allowing them to visit family back home, according to Hoang Dinh Thang, Chairman of the Union of Vietnamese People Associations in Europe.
The operation of flights must be done strictly for right people and in line with Vietnam’s medical requirements for people entering the nation, said Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang while informing the press on the resumption of international flights and the recognition of vaccine passports.
Vietnam is advised to promptly negotiate with countries that have efficiently curbed the spread of COVID-19 in a bid to create travel bubbles and gradually resume international tourism in a practical manner.
