Ho Chi Minh City needed to hire some 60,000 jobs in four key industries and nine major service sectors in Q3, up 3.5% against the same time last year, according to Director of the HCM City Centre for Forecasting Manpower Needs and Labour Market Information (Falmi) Nguyen Hoang Hieu.

There will be some 30,000 job vacancies in Ho Chi Minh City after the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday, according to the city’s Human Resources Forecast and Labour Market Information (Falmi) Centre.

Ho Chi Minh City aims to increase the proportion of secondary school graduates enrolled at vocational training schools to 30 percent by 2020, but the schools are struggling to maintain enrollments.
