Member units of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) need to focus on enhancing professional competence and efficiency in governance and operation activities that will contribute to the national economy’s growth, Chairman of Petrovietnam’s Council of Members Le Manh Hung has said.

Vietnamese manufacturing business sentiment is set to rise in the third quarter on the back of the country’s unexpectedly higher economic growth in the second quarter and an optimistic outlook for the year.

The Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (Vinacomin) sold nearly 13.9 million tonnes of coal, earning 38.61 trillion VND (1.67 billion USD) in the first four months of 2021.

Some 89.6 percent of enterprises in the manufacturing-processing industry expect expanded or stable production in the third quarter of 2018, over the previous quarter when only 52.6 percent hoped for growth.
