Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh held talks with Swiss President Karin Keller-Sutter in Davos on January 21 afternoon (local time), within the framework of the 55th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum and his bilateral activities in Switzerland.

Vietnam and Switzerland issued a statement on advancing the bilateral partnership, following the talks between Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Swiss President Karin Keller-Sutter in Davos on January 21.

Party General Secretary and State President To Lam had meetings with Viola Amherd, President of the Swiss Confederation and head of the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport; and Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of Armenia, on the occasion of his attendance at the 19th Francophonie Summit in Paris on October 5.

The State President’s recent visits to Switzerland and Russia achieved dual outcomes in both bilateral and multilateral diplomatic activities, in which renovation and creativity and consolidating the strategic trust are prominent issues.

President Nguyen Xuan Phuc held talks with his Swiss counterpart Guy Parmelin following the official welcome ceremony for the Vietnamese leader in Bern city on November 26.

Switzerland has continuously attached significance to developing the bilateral relations with Vietnam, said Swiss President Simonetta Sommaruga.
