As much as 130,300 NOK (nearly 12,000 USD) was donated by Vietnamese people in Norway in support of the homeland’s disaster relief efforts in the wake of Typhoon Yagi and its subsequent floods and landslides.

The Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese Business Association in the Republic of Korea (RoK) recently held a ceremony to honour Korean firms and Vietnamese people who have donated funds in support of those affected by Typhoon Yagi in the homeland.

Vietnamese people living in Germany have donated a total of over 150,000 EUR (167,100 USD) in support for those in the homeland affected by Typhoon Yagi and its subsequent floods and landslides.

A special TV programme was held by Vietnam Television (VTV) in the presence of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on September 15 to show support for people in the areas hit by super Typhoon Yagi and its accompanying flooding and landslides.

Vietnamese in many countries around the world continue to make donations to support typhoon victims in the homeland, in response to the appeal of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on September 9 signed an official dispatch demanding food and essential supplies be quickly delivered to the people hit by super typhoon Yagi.

More than 110 Americans have donated more than 28,000 USD so far in a charity campaign organised by Ronald L. Haeberle, whose photographs of the My Lai Massacre turned American public opinion against the war. He was assisted by Chuck Searcy who co-founded Project RENEW with Hoang Nam in 2001.

A humanitarian aid package worth 100,000 USD will be offered by the Red Cross Society of China to the Philippines to support the country in the wake of super typhoon Haima.
