Following his trip to Rio de Janeiro Brazil for the G20 Summit and bilateral engagements, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, accompanied by his spouse and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, is set to embark on an official visit to the Dominican Republic from November 19-21.

Chairman of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations Le Hoai Trung hosted a reception in Hanoi on July 26 for a delegation of the United Left Movement (MIU) Party of the Dominican Republic, led by Secretary of the MIU Party's Central Committee and head of its International Department Marthe Pevez, who is in Vietnam to attend the state funeral of General Secretary of the CPV Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong.

The Vietnamese Party and State always value traditional friendship and all-around cooperation with countries and political parties, including the Dominican Republic and its United Left Movement (MIU), said General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong.

A delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) paid a working visit to the Dominican Republic from October 31 to November 3 at the invitation of the Caribbean country’s United Left Movement.
