Vietnam calls on the US to immediately end its embargo against and remove Cuba from the list of state sponsors of terrorism, moving towards normalising relations between the two countries based on equality, mutual respect, and respect for each other's national sovereignty and political independence, stated Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang, Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the UN.

Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang, Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the United Nations (UN), has joined those of other countries in opposing the US’s economic and trade embargo on Cuba, emphasising that these measures violate international law and run counter to the fundamental principles and norms of the UN Charter.

A symposium discussing measures to mitigate losses caused by the US’s embargo on Cuba was held in Hanoi on October 26.
