Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, his spouse, and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation arrived at Las Américas International Airport in Santo Domingo on November 19 evening (local time), beginning an official visit to the Dominican Republic.
At the invitation of Dominican President Luis Rodolfo Abinader Corona and his spouse, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his spouse, accompanied by a high-level Vietnamese delegation, pay an official visit to the Dominican Republic from November 19 to 21, 2024. This visit holds significant importance as it marks the first official trip by a Vietnamese leader to the Dominican Republic, taking place ahead of the 20th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations (July 7, 2005 – July 7, 2025).
A bust of Juan Bosch (1909 – 2001), leader of the national liberation movement in Latin America and first President of the Dominican Republic, was unveiled at Hoa Binh Park in Hanoi on August 28.
