The activities conducted by the Vietnam Trade Office in Thailand in 2024 have enriched the trade and investment relations between the two countries, contributing to helping Thailand maintain its position as Vietnam's largest trading partner in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), according to Le Huu Phuc, Vietnam's Trade Counsellor in Thailand.

Demand for cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand is continuously expanding and new business opportunities will appear when both countries begin to develop new economic sectors such as green economy, circular economy, and renewable energy, according to Le Huu Phuc, Head of the Vietnam Trade Office in Thailand.

The upcoming official visit to Thailand by President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his attendance at the 29th APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Bangkok from November 16-19 is expected to create a driving force to deepen bilateral ties and raise two-way trade.

Vietnam should set out a specific strategy for accessing the Thai market as the two countries share similarities in product types, suggested Nguyen Thanh Huy, head of the Vietnam Trade Office in Thailand.
