The Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) has obtained many outstanding achievements and accompanied the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) in the development of the two sides and their gainful partnership, affirmed Thongsavanh Phomvihane, head of the LPRP Central Committee's Commission for External Relations.

12th Party Central Committee 's 15th plenum concluded on January 17. Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong delivered a speech at the closing ceremony of the Party Central Committee’s 15th plenum.

Success of the August Revolution in 1945 was the first Victory of Vietnam since the country was led by the Communist Party of Vietnam.
