Nearly 100 athletes representing Vovinam Viet Vo Dao (Vietnamese martial art) Federations in Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, Romania, Spain and Vietnam have attended the International Vovinam Cup 2022-Grand Master Nguyen Van Chieu held recently in Montichiari city, Italy.
The first national-level Vo Viet Nam (previously called Son Long Quyen) championship took place in Algeria on January 14 and 15 to pay tribute to master Aitabdelmalek Larbi, who brought the Vietnamese martial art to the country in 1973.
The Viet Vo Dao Vovinam (Vietnamese martial art) Championship – Ambassador Cup – was held in Shams El-Sheikh city, Egypt, on October 26 and 27, gathering mỏe than 80 athletes from Japan, Algeria, Iraq, Sudan and the host country.
The Arab Vovinam (Vietnamese martial art) Federation was officially set up during a conference held by Arab countries’ Vovinam federations in Algeria on December 7 and 8.
The German Vovinam Federation won nine gold medals and the first place at the four th European Vovinam (Vietnamese Martial Art) Championship which took place in Geneva, Switzerland from July 1- 3.
