Argentinean photographer Jorge Monaco has spent two years to compile a bilingual photo book titled "War Memories" on the war in Vietnam.

Vietnamese veterans in Germany hosted a meeting to mark the 75th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27) in the city of Magdeburg, the state of Sachsen-Anhalt, on July 24.

Vietnamese Consul General in Cambodia's Preah Sihanouk province Vu Ngoc Ly led a Vietnamese delegation to Kep and Kampot provinces to lay flowers at the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Monuments in the two localities to commemorate Vietnamese martyrs who died in battle in the neighbouring country.

A ceremony was held in Kiev, the capital city of Ukraine to mark the 74th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 29th All-People’s Defence Festival (December 22).

General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong has lauded the contributions Vietnamese veterans have made to national defence and construction, urging them to uphold their role in protecting the fruits of the revolution.
