During his 5th visit to Vietnam on June 19 and 20, President Vladimir Putin and a high-ranking delegation of Russia are scheduled to have talks and meetings with senior leaders of Vietnam and some other activities, thereby continuing to enhance and develop the two countries' relations.

Russian scholars highly valued Vietnam's position, role, and economic potential during events held within the 8th Vietnam Day hosted by ASEAN Centre of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) on April 28.

With standout contributions to United Nations’ peacekeeping missions over the past seven years, the Vietnam Centre for Peacekeeping, now the Department of Peacekeeping Operations, has helped improve the profile and role of Vietnam’s military and Vietnam as a whole in the international arena.

Vietnam has seen strong progress in its multilateral external relations, which has significantly contributed to enhancing status and strength of the country.
