On the opening day of the 19th General Assembly of the Organisation of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) and related events in Saint Petersburg, Russia on June 18, and ahead of the 2025 Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with and granted an interview to Vu Viet Trang, General Director of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA), as well as heads of OANA delegations and representatives of major global media outlets.

On the occasion of the state visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan by Party General Secretary To Lam, General Director of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) Vu Viet Trang paid a working visit to the President's Television and Radio Complex of Kazakhstan.
