The Wildlife Rescue Centre at the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park in the central province of Quang Binh on May 23 said that it has released 17 rescued rare animals back to the wild.

Up to 40 wild animals transported to Hanoi from northern Lang Son province by two traders have been rescued thanks to help from Education for Nature Vietnam (ENV).

Hung Yen police said on February 2 that they had seized a truck transporting 81 pangolins, a rare animal species banned from trading.
