More than 100 young people in Ho Chi Minh City have begun a trip to neighbouring Laos for volunteer activities until June 28.

Over the past 94 years since its establishment (March 26, 1931), the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has remained a pioneering force in all fields. Under the Party’s leadership, the Union always follows the spirit of non-stop innovation, and is ready to overcome any challenge, actively contributing to the cause of national development, proving themselves as the Party’s core and trusted support.

The youth unions of Quang Tri province and three Lao provinces - Savannakhet, Salavan and Sekong – are joining a frienship programme in the the central locality from August 27-29 to exchange their experience in youth activities.

The Da Nang chapter of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCMCYU) and the Salavan chapter of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union held an exchange and signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation for 2024-2029 on July 17.

“The birth of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union was an inevitable part of history, meeting the demands of the youth movement at that time,” said Associate Professor Nguyen Danh Tien.

After the national reunification in 1975, under the leadership of the Party, the youth union generations have continuously made marked contributions to the cause of national construction and defense, affirming their pioneering and pivotal role.

A solemn ceremony to mark the 90th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union was held on March 23 at the National Convention Center.

Hundreds of children in kindergartens and residential areas in the northern province of Hai Duong’s Gia Loc and Thanh Ha districts have enjoyed new swings, seesaws and balance paths made of old tyres.
