2023 NSW Premier’s Export Awards highlights Vietnam-Australia diplomatic ties
The theme of the 2023 New South Wales (NSW) Premier’s Export Awards focuses on the celebration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Australia – an important milestone to acknowledge and a great way to promote the many opportunities for Australian and Vietnamese businesses, according to the Export Council of Australia.

Sydney (VNA) – The theme of the 2023 NewSouth Wales (NSW) Premier’s Export Awards focuses on the celebration of the50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Australia – animportant milestone to acknowledge and a great way to promote the manyopportunities for Australian and Vietnamese businesses, according to the ExportCouncil of Australia.
An award ceremony was held by the council in Sydneyon October 23, aiming to celebrate the success and resilience of NSW exportersand their achievements in the international market, showcasing businesses fromevery region across the state.
In his remarks, NSW Premier Chris Minns stressedthat the diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Australia are significant to thefuture of Australia’s economy, saying the bilateral relations have beendeveloping fruitfully and Vietnam has becomes an increasingly considerable market.
This is a great opportunity that not only reflectsthe achievements of both countries over the past five decades but also lookstowards the future of their deep friendship and cooperation, he said.
Nguyen Dang Thang, Vietnam’s Consul General in NSW, Queenslandand South Australia, also highlighted the comprehensive cooperation between thetwo countries, from education, science-technology, and people-to-people exchangeto economy.
Trade cooperation holds the most significantimportance in the bilateral relationship, he said, adding that last year, thetwo-way trade turnover reached a record of nearly 16 billion USD, making themthe top trade partners of each other - a goal set out in the 2021 Vietnam-AustraliaEnhanced Economic Engagement Strategy, he said.
Among the winners, Annalise.ai, a company redefiningAI in medical imaging founded by Tran Dang Minh Tri and Tran Dang Dinh Ang –brothers of the Vietnamese origin, won the Development Impact Award./.
