24.6 million health insurance searches conducted using citizen ID chip numbers

More than 24.6 million searches for health insurance information have been conducted utilising chip-based citizen identity card numbers.

Hanoi (VNS/VNA) - More than 24.6 million searches forhealth insurance information have been conducted utilising chip-based citizenidentity card numbers.

These searches have been facilitated at 12,401 medical examinationand treatment facilities currently implementing health insurance-coveredmedical examination and treatment services.

The national social health insurance database's 80.3 millionpersonal information records have been confirmed with the population database,according to Vietnam Social Security (VSS).

The national population database has received and exchanged morethan 105.6 million social and health insurance records from the VSS system.

With over 24.6 million successful searches for health insuranceinformation using citizen identification cards with chips, there are currently12,401 healthcare facilities nationwide that accept health insurance and usecitizen identification cards with chips for health examinations and treatment(reaching 96.77% of the total number of health insurance facilitiesnationwide).

Through the Family Health Insurance Card Renewal service withreduced contribution rates via the National Public Service Portal and thePortal of the VSS, 1,073 health insurance card extension applications have beenreceived and processed by the VSS's systems and the National Public ServicePortal.

So far, the VSS in two localities (Hanoi and Ha Nam) haveimplemented test programmes that have received and processed 24,073applications for health insurance cards for children under six years old, and892 applications for funeral allowance in the interconnection of birthregistration, permanent residence registration, and issuance of healthinsurance cards for children under six years old; the interconnection of deathregistration, cancellation of permanent residence registration, and funeralallowance.

As of April 12, 2022, the VSS has successfully coordinatedwith the necessary departments to integrate the public service's"Unemployment Benefits Resolution" on the National Public ServicePortal.

Additionally, 104,405 cases of workers seeking to resolve theirunemployment benefits have been received, and the process of unemployment insurancepayment has been confirmed.

Also, the Ministry of Health has received assistance and supportfrom the VSS's system in integrating data on driver health exams, birthcertificates, and death certificates.

There have been received and processed a total of 175,593 validhealth examination data from 903 medical facilities around the country, 21,472birth certificate data from 528 medical facilities, and 407 death certificatedata from 147 medical institutions./.

🍒 Vietnam, France collaborate in vaccine production technology transfer

Under the agreement, VNVC and Sanofi will gradually implement technology transfers to enable domestic production of several key Sanofi vaccines that are widely used in Vietnam. In addition, Sanofi will support VNVC in training human resources and quality management in vaccine research and manufacturing.
