93,000 foreigners currently have work permits in Vietnam
There are currently more than 93,000 foreigners with work permits in Vietnam, according to data from the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.

Hanoi (VNA) – There are currently more than93,000 foreigners with work permits in Vietnam, according to data from theMinistry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.
A majority of Vietnamese enterprises employ foreigners oncontract basis and pay their share of social insurance premiums for those with working contracts of one year or longer. Most of the foreigners are experts or skilled workers who usually hold managing positions in the companies inVietnam.
In Hanoi, the municipal Department of Labour, Invalids andSocial Affairs granted or renewed work permits for over 10,000 foreigners lastyear, or 11 percent of the country’s total number./.
Four Vietnamese were among the five workers awarded the title of excellent foreign construction workers of Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport during a ceremony held on March 23.
The Government’s Resolution No. 105/NQ-CP on support for enterprises, cooperatives, and business households has considerably facilitated the granting of permits to foreign workers in Vietnam.

Japan, the Republic of Korea, and Taiwan (China) have announced their plans to resume the reception of Vietnamese labourers from November as many foreign labour markets have reopened after the COVID-19 pandemic is basically controlled.
