Hanoi (VNA) - The total import-export tax revenue through e-taxpayment of the customs sector reached 191.145 trillion VND (9.2 billion USD),accounting for 95 percent of the total revenue to the State budget, fromJanuary 1, 2018 to September 5, 2018, the Vietnam government portal (VGP) reported.

As many as 22 banks have provided their 24/7 e-tax payment scheme.

The e-tax payment would facilitate tax payment anywhere, anytime, reduce timeand ensure immediate goods clearance. The customs authority will directlysupport enterprises to make payment documents from the original data andminimise errors in money transfer procedures.

This could help shorten time to complete customs procedures for import-exportactivities to the average level of ASEAN-4 countries following the Government’sinstructions.

Firms only need certificate authority (CA) to transfer money and authorizebanks to pay taxes through their accounts without fees.

To be qualified to provide the service, banks are required to upgrade theire-payment portal.-VNA
