ACV to spend nearly 12 trillion VND on upgrading three airports
The Airport Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) on July 17 said it will invest nearly 12 trillion VND (528.03 million USD) to raise the capacity of the three international airports of Cat Bi, Phu Bai and Chu Lai by 2025.

Hanoi (VNA)𝔍 – The Airport Corporation ofVietnam (ACV) on July 17 said it will invest nearly 12 trillion VND (528.03million USD) to raise the capacity of the three international airports of CatBi, Phu Bai and Chu Lai by 2025.
The funds will be used to complete a parallel taxiwaysystem at Cat Bi international airport in the northern port city of Hai Phong atan estimated cost of 900 billion VND (39.6 million USD), linking with the newrunway which will be built in 2018. In addition, 2.7 trillion VND (118.8 million USD) willbe earmarked to build the airport’s new runway, terminals and apron to serve upto six million passengers per year. Meanwhile, the ACV plans to allocate 165 billion VND (7.2million USD) in 2017-2018 to raise the capacity of terminals of Chu Laiinternational airport in the central province of Quang Nam, aiming to receive1.5-1.8 million passengers a year. In 2018-2021, the ACV will spend an additional 5.5trillion VND (242 million USD) to build a new runway, terminal and apron in theairport to serve five million passengers per year. The corporation will also disburse 2.65 trillion VND (116.6million USD) for a new terminal, parallel taxiway and equipment procurement alongwith three new aprons in Phu Bai international airport in the central ThuaThien-Hue province, aiming to operate 20 flights in peak time and serve fourmillion passengers.-VNA
