Armed attacks in Dak Lak: 74 arrested, local situation stabilised
Police have put 74 persons into temporary detention for their role in the recent armed attacks on the headquarters of two communal administrations in Cu Kuin district, the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak, as the local security and order situation has stabilised.

Dak Lak (VNA) – Police haveput 74 persons into temporary detention for their role in the recent armedattacks on the headquarters of two communal administrations in Cu Kuindistrict, the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak, as the localsecurity and order situation has stabilised.
The attacks in Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes early on June 11 killed nine people andinjured two others.
Maj. Gen. Le Vinh Quy, Director ofthe Dak Lak provincial Department of Public Security, said on June 20 that 74persons involved in the case have been arrested and a number of weaponsand evidence seized. The security and order situation has also been stabilised.
He noted that as soon as the attacks occurred,under the direction of the Ministry of Public Security, the police of Dak Lak quickly took actions to chase the suspects. So far, police have safely rescuedthree hostages, met 109 persons linked with the incident (including 74 detained to serve investigation) to enquire into the incident, and seized a number of weapons, tools, and evidence.
The public security force has also visitedand offered condolences and encouragement to the bereaved families. The two seriouslyinjured police officers have received intensive care and are now in stablecondition.
People’s life has returned to normal,Quy added.
