Armenian ambassador honoured with friendship insignia
Ambassador of Armenia to Vietnam Raisa Vardanyan was honoured on April 5 with the “For Peace and Friendship among Nations” insignia of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO).

Hanoi (VNA) -ꦇ Ambassador of Armenia to VietnamRaisa Vardanyan was honoured on April 5 with the “For Peace and Friendshipamong Nations” insignia of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations(VUFO).
Presentingthe insignia to the ambassador at a ceremony held in Hanoi, VUFO PresidentNguyen Phuong Nga spoke highly of Vardanyan’s efforts, as the first ArmenianAmbassador to Vietnam, in bolstering the bilateral relations built on trust andmutual understanding. Ngaadded that the two countries’ cooperation has been deepened in various spheres,including economy, trade, science-technology, culture and people-to-peopleexchanges. TheArmenian diplomat has paid due attention to and worked with the Vietnam-ArmeniaFriendship Association to organise external activities and celebrations of thecountries’ major events, she added. Forher part, Vardanyan thanked the VUFO and the Vietnam-Armenia FriendshipAssociation for their support for the Embassy of Armenia in Vietnam to arrangeactivities which helped foster the traditional bilateral friendship andmultifaceted cooperation, particularly people-to-people diplomacy. Recallingnotable achievements of the bilateral friendship and cooperation over theyears, the diplomat voiced her hope that the Armenia-Vietnam relations willcontinue to thrive in the coming time. -VNA
