Beijing (VNA) – Chinese Ambassador to ASEAN HuangXilian stated that ASEAN-China relations haveentered a new phase of all-around development at the ASEAN – ChinaHigh-Level Media Forum held in Jakarta, Indonesia on July 24.

The Chinese media on July 25 quoted the ambassador as sayingthat the new phase of all-around development wasreflected in the development roadmap, political trust, economic andtrade growth, people-to-people exchange, and stances on regional and globalissues.

As part of the China – ASEAN Media Exchange Year, the forum aimed to fosterdialogue and reach consensus on collaboration and development between Chineseand ASEAN ministries and agencies concerned.

The forum adopted the joint statement on strengthening mediaexchanges and cooperation between China and ASEAN, and ASEAN-China Audio-Visual Communications Cooperation Plan 2020-2024.-VNA
