More than 200 photos and nearly 500 documentaries featuring thecultural essence and traditions of Southeast Asian nations are ondisplay in central Quang Binh province.
The exhibitions also highlight regional efforts to protect the environment and promote climate change adaptation.
Prominent among those present at the opening ceremony on July 14 wereDeputy Minister of Information and Communication Truong Minh Tuan, ThaiVice Ambassador to Vietnam Wanthanee Viputwongsakul.
Deputy Minister Tuan said the event helps popularise the diversity ofregional cultures, peoples and their livelihoods, thus bringing themcloser together to form one common identity.
Italso encourages Vietnamese people to participate in regional jointefforts in building an ASEAN community of peace, stability anddevelopment while raising their awareness of the formation of the ASEANcommunity at the end of this year, Tuan added.
At the event, he presented a certificate of merit and the collection of photos and documentaries to local authorities.
Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Xuan Quangsaid the photos and documentaries will be introduced to local soldiersand people to give them insight into the beauty and traditions of theregional community.
