Beijing (VNA) ♎– The ASEAN Film Week (AFW) 2016 was officially launched on September 20 in the Chinese city of Xi’an, Shaanxi province.
The event is part of activities to celebrate the 25 th anniversary of ASEAN-China Dialogue Relations.
During the film week, which will run till September 23, 10 films from the ASEAN member nations, including “My Nhan” from Vietnam, will be screened widely at the Chinese city’s cinemas.
On the occasion, film studios from Vietnam, Singapore and Indonesia will sign memoranda of understanding on movie cooperation with Chinese partners.
An initiative to organise the first ASEAN-China film festival in 2017 will also be reviewed.

The Vietnamese film “Lua Phat” (Once Upon A Time in Vietnam) will be screened at the third ASEAN Film Festival to be held in Prague, the Czech Republic on September 9-13.
