Australia to import fresh Vietnamese dragon fruit

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development announced that Australia has completed a draft assessment on fresh Vietnamese dragon fruit. The fruit is expected to be exported to Australia in 2017.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development announced that Australia has completed a draft assessment on fresh Vietnamese dragon fruit. The fruit is ex♏pected to be exported to Australia in 2017.

According to the draft, risk evaluation will be completed by the end of this year.
Australia plans to certify and allow the fruit to enter its market in early 2017.
If it receives certification, Vietnam will be the first and only country to export dragon fruit to Australia. Previously, Australia has allowed Vietnamese mango imports.-VNA
